Safeguarding & Data Protection

Safeguarding:

LSCA are committed to ensure that our children enjoy playing their cricket in a safe, positive and secure environment.

We believe children from all backgrounds should be given the opportunity to fulfill their cricketing potential and the standards of conduct we set of our coaches/committee reflect this. Our coaches are committed to having child welfare and safeguarding at the heart of everything they do.

A copy of our safeguarding policy can be accessed by clicking here. Full copies of our other safeguarding policies, including codes of conduct and anti-bullying, are available upon request.

Data protection:

LSCA are required to handle your personal data in compliance with data protection legislation.

We promise to do the following with your personal data:

  • collect only what we need

  • apply reasonable diligence in picking the digital applications that we use for storing it

  • endeavour to hold it as securely as we reasonably can

  • remove it when we no longer need it

  • remove it if you ask us to do so

  • make it available to the minimum number of people who reasonably need to know it

  • check that persons in positions of responsibility (officers, coaches and team managers) have had an ECB approved DBS check (Disclosure & Barring Service)

To communicate with parents, coaches may also decide to use additional apps; parents maintain their right to remove this permission.
